FEAT
FEAT (Freelancer’s Estimation Assistance Tool) is a tool to help freelancers calculate hourly rates and project pricing estimates. It is inspired by a very similar calculation PDF sheet which was created by Lauren of creativecurio.com and by some other useful freelancer pricing resources on the net.
The tool uses the same calculations like the ones from the links mentioned above plus it stores your values so you don’t have to enter them again every time. Version 1.0 features hourly rate calculation, a project pricing wizard and an option to change the visual theme of the tool. It also resides nicely on your desktop or wherever you put it and is there whenever you need to make an estimation.
It calculates a result from all entered expenses and modifiers to profit margin, retirement savings and working hours. The Project Pricing Wizard uses the formula task x time(complexity x effort) x rate = price which is explained in more detail here. But enough words, here are some screenshots …
Requirements/Installation
FEAT was written with Flex 2 and requires the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) to run which is freely available for download for Windows and Mac at the Adobe.
Once you have AIR installed on your system you can simply install FEAT by downloading it from the following link and double-clicking the file.

Great app! Tomorrow I will write a review to this app in my site
For further releases, can you support i18n, I’m from Argentina and in here we speak spanish. If you do that, I will translate from english to spanish for free
Amazing app… to bad there is no way to get it on the iPhone/iPod touch, this would make an amazing app for calculating on the GO or in a meeting when you don’t have you Laptop with you.
Thanks BCRD151! Actually I have concepts in the works to develop a complete new version of FEAT with much extended features, but alas, we will not seeing this on Apple platforms thanks to the decision of a certain Mr. J! However chances are good that I will be developing a version for the Android OS in the future.
